The process of site building includes several stages:

1. The site concept is the main idea of the future site, it's essense. The concept is based on:

  • defined goals and objectives of the site;
  • prior research of the target group;
  • research of business rivals, as well as their web resources.

The concept of the site reflects the development strategy of the company.
The task of the concept - to define the ideas, forming the future website and being part of technical task.

2. Technical Task (TT) - this is the basic document, made up for that the executive stuff could rely on it,creating the website, and for that the customer could compare the final product.

TT includes:

  • functional description of the future site;
  • requirements for administrative part;
  • typical description of pages;
  • information that the pages will be filled with.

After examination of the technical task, comments, amendment, the legal implementation and signing of contract (which includes TT), process of website  design starts.

3. Design - is a visual image of Web pages. It is of the same importance for the site, as print design and makeup for the paper edition. 
 
Design establishment:

  • design style (specified in the stage of conception);
  • creation and design of template pages;
  • selection of fonts and graphic elements;
  • usability-test  - readability and navigation.

Several varients of design are proposed to the customer (the number specified in the TT) to choose the most appropriate.

4. Programming

  • programmer realizes the technical task;
  • designer makes up XHTML+CSS codes (in divs) that are valid in all browsers and w3c compliant and passes made-up pages of template to the programmer. 

5. Filling in, Testing

At this stage it is important:

  • that the site is designed for different users;
  • that the site has the same appearance for users with differen technical requirements of their PC; 
  • that the site is accepted by all browsers, not only by Internet Explorer.

6. Site Support
